The PPE Society was founded by a constituency of students with an appreciation for open-minded and creative discussion and debate.
We represent the long established view that the disciplines of politics, philosophy and economics are inherently intertwined, and an environment that fosters an engaged interdisciplinary discussion will equip students with a greater academic understanding of each discipline individually, as well as a better understanding of the driving forces of societal change and the world around us.
The PPE Society aims to engage any student who wishes to gain a more in-depth understanding in any or all of the PPE disciplines by way of casual discussion, debates, academic and social activities, as well as advocating for subject diversity.
We meet weekly for informal discussion and debate over drinks at the Eagle Bar on Thursday nights from 5pm during semester. We welcome anyone interested to come along!
